We are a member of the Wisconsin Ev. Lutheran Synod (WELS). Our synod was founded in Wisconsin but today has a presence in all fifty states and missions in nations all over the world. The WELS has about 1,200 churches with a membership of about 420,000. The mission of our synod and congregation is to reach as many people as possible with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
St Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church was founded in 1909 when several families felt the need for a Lutheran Church in Montrose. Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church was founded in 1879 when several families felt the need for a Lutheran Church in this area. For over a hundred years St. Paul's and Trinity Ev. Lutheran Churches have served our area. Many things have changed over the years, but people's need to know Jesus has not changed. Everybody needs Jesus. We hope to share him with you.
